Professor P L. Bradshaw: Health Care Policy University of Huddersfield & External Examiner for the NHS National Management Training Scheme.
‘This book is a very useful addition to the teaching armoury for those involved in leadership & management training & an excellent work for its application & relevance as a tool for self development. As someone who is involved in teaching managers, I see this as a breath of fresh air that I would commend to all of them most strongly.’

The day will include...
• An explanation of the patient’s experience from the clinical point of view
• Learning to hear and understand the customer/patient voice and how to
apply this to GP Practices
• A practical workshop that will highlight hindrances in the patient journey and facilitate
peer discussions to explore patient engagement and service improvement solutions

to action the changes you see to be necessary.
Speakers will include:

She also works with Leeds University for Stroke Programmes, and as a trainer in her own company throughout Britain. In our session, she will explain the patient’s experience from a clinical point of view. By getting behind the mind of the patient living with chronic illness, she will help us to reflect on how successful our current interactions are between patient, staff and practitioner in the GP practice.
Mr Robert Hardy
Robert Hardy works for Yorkshire Housing as a Customer Service Manager.
Robert originally comes from a Private Sector background in Customer Service and when he moved into the Public Sector, found that the mindset towards customers was very different. Based on helping others to make a transition of mindset, Robert will focus on hearing the Customer Voice and applying it in the Practice.
Mrs Catherine Burwell
Professional Development Coach and Trainer/Facilitator, Cathy will engage you in service improvement mapping techniques in a practical workshop that will highlight hinderances in the patient journey for your practice. She will also facilitate peer discussions to explore solutions to current patient issues.
Mr Richard Burwell
Richard, Professional Development Coach, Author and Trainer will coach you through the options that emerge during the day and ensure that you gather the necessary momentum to develop your patient strategy. Individual plans for action can be produced during this coaching session.
